As a high school capstone deliverable, the Milwaukee Opera House was one of the first major projects I completed that started to follow the more true processes of an architect, and the one that helped me realize architecture as a passion and not simply a hobby.
The preliminary sketches of the opera house were influenced heavily by the idea of fluidity, often featuring wave-like curves, derived from the defining connection between the neighboring Milwaukee River and the technicality of sound waves.
The building was then developed using Revit to work out structural weaknesses and more realistic engineering with specific materials, allowing for further concept development, and the construction of a physical model.
